FC Helsingkrona starts the season in winning ways. Todays season opener ended in a 3-0 win against Lunds United FC for the mens team while the womens team beat Teknologkåren IF 1-0 in a friendly earlier this week.

The start of todays game was hectic with two excited teams on both sides. Lunds United started the game with high pressure and intensity where Carl played a well struck ball to find Henrik who smashed it into the far post wheel and out. No goal. After 30 minutes the nerves started to settle and we gain confidence. Sebastian, our captain of the day, steals the ball from one of their defenders high up the pitch. Sebastian scores by holding off 3 guys dribbling himself into a 1v1 with the keeper who he nutmegs.The academic lions had a great start to second half. Henrik wins the ball which finds Aksel who with one touch beautifully puts Eric through for a 1v1 vs the keeper. As cool as you like Eric shots it beyond the keepers reach to make it 2-0 after 49 minutes. In the late stages of the game Lunds United manages to get a shot off in the 6 yard box which Peter saves brilliantly to keep the clean sheet intact. Eric gets heavily taken down in the penalty box after linking up well with the midfield. The penalty is given in the 89th minute. After some discussion between Filip and Felix, Felix steps up and scores. Now we look forward to our next game on thursday against Kävlinge Harrie FF.
